When Joan Leedy founded Dyne Fire Protection Labs in February 1999, she was focused on her mission to make fire protection testing easier and didn’t stop to think about the rarity of female-founded companies within the fire protection industry. Today, the St. Paul, Minnesota-based firm is still going strong — and still predominately female.

Let’s take a closer look at what sets Dyne apart, from the perspective of a few of the women who use their passion for science to help improve fire safety for facilities around the world.
